1829/00/00 Josiah Henson Bondage Isaac Riley's brother-in-law persuades him to manumit the Henson family. After meeting his family in Kentucky, Henson learns from his wife that Isaac Riley has nearly doubled the price of Henson family's emancipation.
1830/09/00 Josiah Henson Bondage Discovering that Isaac Riley plans to sell him in New Orleans, Louisiana, separating him from his wife and four children, Josiah Henson and his family begin their escape to Canada.
