1776/00/00 Thomas Lee Shippen School Tommy Shippen attends Needwood Forest Academy in Fredrick Town, Maryland.
1783/00/00 Thomas Sim Lee Owner Thomas S Lee and his wife Mary Digges Lee buy the 1,000 acre Forest of Needwood plantation situated on the eastern side of South Mountain between Burkittsville and Petersville in Frederick County.
1808/00/00 William Lee of Needwood Forest Home Needwood Forest, a Federal style brick main residence, is possibly built c 1808 for William Lee, the second son of Governor Thomas Sim Lee. The house will remain in the Lee family until 1949.

1860/00/00 Maria Monroe Gouverneur Home Gouverneurs lays out a formal garden with boxwood and radiating pathways, two-story garden house, conservatory and carriage house. The property also has a c 1875 frame barn, and an ice house that has been altered for use as part of a playhouse.
