East Greenwich Academy was a private boarding high school in East Greenwich, Rhode Island that operated from 1802 until 1943 on a five acre campus near Greenwich Cove. The classrooms were in the red brick Main Building (lost). Eastman Memorial Hall (lost) was the girls' dormitory. the boys' dormitory, Winsor Dormitory (lost), was also the faculty house. The academy gymnasium featured a bowling alley, showers, a locker room, indoor track and a stage. Restored using a gift provided by Augustus Swift, Swift Gymnasium is now a Senior Center at 121 Peirce Street.

The Academy's Headmaster lived at Rose Cottage at 112 Peirce Street. The Academy's first Headmaster was Abner Alden. Headmaster Dr Francis Durbin Blakeslee occupied the position for 25 years. - AsNotedIn
