1903/01/00 Bishop Frederick Eis announces the need for a larger facility for orphans.
1914/04/00 Hegner Construction Co Contractor The Hegner Construction Co is awarded the contract to erect the building with a bid of $75,400. The facade of the orphanage is to be faced in local Marquette sandstone in the tall basement and front portico and in paving bricks with limestone trim above.
1915/10/10 Located at the edge of Marquette, the orphanage is dedicated and occupied. A chapel, chaplains' suite and classrooms are on the 1st floor, 2nd has classrooms and rooms for the Sisters of St Agnes who provide care and dormitories are on the 3rd and 4th.
