1876/09/06 Gibbs and Moser Architect Proposals for a new county jail are discussed by the Steuben County Board. A few months later, Gibbs and Moser, Ohio architects, are selected to design the structure which is to include the jail, residence for the County sheriff and the sheriff's offices.
1877/00/00 Litzenberger and Zoller Architect The construction firm of Litzenberger and Zoller of Fort Wayne finish the building on schedule for the sum of $21,144.13.
