1866/00/00 James Henry Bibb Home James H begins buying land around Madison Station including a tract of some 300 acres containing a dwelling where the Bibb family will briefly reside.
1868/00/00 James Henry Bibb Home By the spring of 1868 Bibb has completed construction of a new dwelling and is occupying it with his family. About 220 of his acres is cleared land, and of this, Bibb rents out half and cultivates the other half himself, growing corn and cotton.
1870/00/00 James Henry Bibb Died James H Bibb dies of measles at age 44 in Madison, leaving a widow and six children. He is buried in the Dillard-Bibb Cemetery located on his plantation. The cemetery is on the north side of Mill Road, west of Sullivan Street.
