1931/00/00 W Scott Dunne Architect A theater with state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment is built for C R McHenry, Harold B Robb, E H Rowley, W G Underwood and David Bernbaum. The design includes opera boxes under a full night sky, fountains and projected clouds on the ceiling.
1931/04/00 Hughes-Franklin Theatres Owner Hughes-Franklin Theatres own the Robb and Rowley movie theater chain during construction and opening of the Texas Theatre.
1931/04/21 Robb and Rowley Theater Enterprises Architect The Texas Theatre opens on West Jefferson Boulevard with fanfare on San Jacinto Day. The theater 'fireproof' is the first in the area built for talking pictures and the first theater in Dallas with air conditioning.
