1938/09/12 Joseph Denis Murphy Architect Designed by architect Joseph Murphy, construction begins on his own residence. Dated 12 September 1938, the blueprints list J D Murphy and K F Wischmeyer as the architects.
1939/00/00 Joseph and Ann Murphy Residence is completed. One of the first small Modern Movement houses to attain national publication, it contributes to an interest in Modern houses in the St Louis area.
1950/00/00 In 1950, a bedroom wing is added to the Murphy residence and, in 1962, a foyer enclosure will be constructed.
