Ile-de-France
Region Parisienne
Ile-de-France, also known as the region parisienne "Paris Region", is a central region of France and home to Paris, the nation's capital. It serves as the country's primary hub for culture, government and economic life. Roughly circular in shape radiating outward from Paris, the region is organized in a series of towns and suburbs connected by rivers, roads and rail lines. The Seine river curves through its heart, linking historic cities, market towns and modern centers that together form the Paris Region's distinctive and well-ordered landscape. - AsNotedIn
