Depenau, first recorded in 1289 as Depenowe, is a 160 meter long street in the southwest section of Lubeck's Old Town. Unfortunately, a 29 March 1942 air raid destroyed about half of the south side of the street, but many old building remain:

Depenau 10-12 is a publican's Hof, built in 1616-1622 as a residence for unmarried women
Depenau 18 was built in 1767 as a storehouse
Depenau 31 was built circa 1300, the facade was remodeled in the late 16th century, terra-cottas are from the workshop of Statius of Duren
Depenau 33 is a 1472 Gothic gabled house
Depenau 35 is a 1612 tenement house
