1673/00/00 Nyhavn is built as the Nyhavnskanalen (The New Harbour Canal) under the reign of King Christian V from 1670 to 1673
1681/00/00 No 9 Nyhavn is built
1834/09/00 Hans Christian Andersen Home Hans C Andersen moves to Nyhavn 280 (now No 20) on the Charlottenborg side, he will stay until 1838.
1848/10/01 Hans Christian Andersen Home Hans C Andersen boards with innkeeper and ship's captain Johannes Anholm, in Nyhavn (present no 67, 3 rooms, 2nd floor). HCA stays until 13 September 1865.
1871/10/23 Hans Christian Andersen Home Andersen moves into Miss Hallager's hotel at Nyhavn 18, takes two rooms and an anteroom on the 1st floor, staying till 12 April 1873
1873/09/09 Hans Christian Andersen Home H C Andersen moves back to Nyhavn 18 (run by Misses Clara and Caroline Ballin), Mr Andersen falls ill. 12 June, the Melchior family takes HCA to their home (Rolighed, Copenhagen, razed 1898) to nurse him.
