Afsluitdijk
Afsluitdijk is a 32 km (20 mi) long, 90 m (300 ft) wide causeway in the Netherlands. The structure, built between 1927 and 1932, connects Den Oever in the province of North Holland to the village of Zurich in the province of Friesland. The boulder clay causeway dammed off the Zuiderzee (a bay of the North Sea), creating IJsselmeer (Lake IJssel). - AsNotedIn
