Marye's Heights Battlefield, the locus of the Fredericksburg Battlefield, includes the ridge of Marye's Heights and The Sunken Road which formed the core Confederate defensive line at the Battle of Fredericksburg. The area also encompasses Fredericksburg National Cemetery and the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park visitor center.
