Stroll the Highgate Grove

The Grove in Highgate is a quiet, tree-shaded quarter-mile running north from Highgate West Hill toward Hampstead Lane, its wide shoulders lined with handsome houses — almost all English Listed Buildings. Even the hidden corners are protected: the garden walls, terraces, steps and arbour from the long-lost-17th century Dorchester House form a Listed enclave visitors ever see. The street has long drawn actors, authors, poets, musicians, politicians, diplomats and even a Soviet spy.
