Solid Window Lintels

No 7 Botolph Alley EC3 in the City of London, England, is a late 17th- or early 18th-century narrow building on the north side of Botolph Alley, built to a compact two-bay plan and rising four storeys. The ground floor has been altered, but the upper levels retain their historic fabric. The first and second floors are finished in painted brick, each level set with segment-headed sash windows in flush sash boxes, typical of modest City rebuilding after the late-Stuart period. The third floor is an added storey, built in similar brickwork and window form, completing the vertical stack. A straightforward example of small-scale post-Fire City construction, valued for its surviving early brickwork and simple window detailing. - AsNotedIn
