Waverly Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh is noted for its remarkable 1930 stained-glass program, a suite of windows crafted by Cleveland artist R Toland Wright using more than 70,000 pieces of glass. Donated by the Pears family in memory of Thomas Clinton Pears Sr, the windows were installed during the pastorate of Thomas Clinton Pears Jr, when the present church rose at Forbes and Braddock avenues.
